What is Escrip?

The eScrip program is a revolutionary fundraising program that allows participating merchants to contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to the Kingsmen StarCorps.

Escrip is currently being used by a number of drum corps and bands across the United States as a fundraising vehicle. In recent years, eScrip has raised more than $95 million throughout their program for schools and other non-profits.

The mechanics of the program are pretty straightforward and simple. There are two basic components:

The first is that every time a purchase is made using your major credit card(s) a portion of the purchase is given directly to the Kingsmen Starcorps. Once your cards have been registered, the process is automatic, and the contribution is made to the Kingsmen Starcorps on a regular basis based upon the purchases made using that card(s). Sign up and registration can be done either online, by fax, or by mail. Online forms with the Kingsmen StarCorps info already filled out can be downloaded by clicking here.

The second is that affiliated merchants provide a donation to the Kingsmen Starcorps every time a purchase is made. There is a fairly extensive list that includes Office Max, Carls Jr., Macys, MCI, Century 21 Realty, and many others. You, as an Escrip contributor are provided a card that when used at the time of purchase automatically contributes to the Kingsmen Starcorps. The eScrip program is one of the easiest fund-raising programs available because it relies on your everyday purchases. By registering your existing grocery, debit, and credit cards for use with the eScrip program, participating merchants will make contributions to the Kingsmen StarCorps! And best news of all participation and sign up is free.

Proceeds from the Escrip program will go to the purchase of musical instruments, uniforms, vehicles, and other Starcorps related expenditures. Proceeds will not be used for any other purpose.
